- cryingveteran You showed us how uninformed and brainwashed you are as soon as you labeled Obama as socialist. That nonsense is nothing but Limbaugh, Savage, Beck, Palin - trash talk, with no truth. Socialism is a bogeyman. Stop throwing it at everything. Every successful economy in the world is a combination of capitalism and social programs and support for labor. Mixed economies are what work. All those mixed economies in Europe work fine for the most part. They are all strong democracies. We too area mixed eonomy. Get over it.

- The Military hates Obama so what is the DEMOS solution block their votes and the DOJ solution give States that are doing it a pass. Could you get more despicable than that. The people that deserve to vote more than anyone are being denied by OBAMA and the DOJ their right to vote! Obama needs to be impeached over this one And where are the Liberal hypocrites shouting count our votes? Silent of course! And what dose CBS write about?

- If the race cost more than 3 times the income received for it then it was bought its won if the income is greater than the money paid out to Republicans are trying their best to buy power to revert money policy to the Bush era under funded regulatory arm of the government to make it easy for rich to skirt it and leave the average income citizen stuck. between Murdocs news sources twists to the news and his direct funding of republicans to the National chamber of commerce backing republican candidates and the others lobbying for republican control to remove all the structure that is there to protect the average man against those with Cash clout. its time that Goliath of big money got nailed by the David of the common citizen.

- BOTH! Some elections will be won, and some will be bought! But, seriously, when have we, as the voting public, really worried about it? Otherwise, why would we send the same crooks back?! They certainly aren't going to change the campaign rules to restrict contributors, length of campaign season, and term limits!

- Arguing about whether money skews elections toward those who have money reminds me of a comedy skit I once heard Cheech and Chong do. Two Neaderthals are walking on an Arctic ice-field, when they run across something brown and elongated. Chong: 'Uhhhh... looks like sh*t!', Cheech: 'Uhhhh', Chong: 'You... smell!', Cheech: 'Uhh?', Chong: 'SMELL!', Cheech: 'oooh [sniff], OOhhh! smell like sh*t!', Chong:'Ugg [still not sure], uhhh, feel', Cheech: 'Uhh?', Chong: 'FEEL! Feel! feel!', Cheech [feeling]:'Uh, ooh, OOhh!! Feel like sh*t!', Chong [still not satisfied]: 'Uhh.. taste', Cheech: 'Uhh?!?', Chong: 'TASTE! Taste!', Cheech [by now, overwhelmed, tastes]: 'Uh, ooh, OOHH!! Taste like sh*t!!! Awww...', Chong:'Uhh... oh... [he steps around the sh*t]... sure glad we didn't step in it...' I used to think we were smarter than Neaderthals. Clearly, that's not true.

- MUCH LESS funny it reminds me of the CORRUPTION OF NIXON's POLITICAL SLUSH FUNDS ------ It's not just foreign money but HUNDREDS of MILLIONS OF DOLLARS laundered into SECRET POLITICAL SLUSH FUNDS (for US Companies that want to remain anonymous too) by the US Chamber of Commerce and other groups like Karl Rove's that is intended to INCREASE OUTSOURCING -- CRATING UP US JOBS AND SHIPPING THEM OVERSEAS. Or those including the US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE that continue to BLOCK SHAREHOLDER VOTES with frivolous lawsuits on corporate actions like MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION and SECRET POLITICAL SLUSH FUND contributions. The US CHAMBER of COMMERCE with it's frivolous lawsuits seems to be acting as a partner with management to allow them to continue to act in management's and the Chamber's best interests and not in the interests of either the workers and the stockholder (owners).
- variablespanner sounds like a good description of the unions, with their private slush funds, stealing dues money to contribute to the dems. Funny how they can contribute all that money, but can't take care of their laid off members.

Their entire purpose is to turn America into a Third World country, competing with Indonesia to produce Nike shoes. And that requires, sorry folks, a massive impoverishment of the US population. You think your salary is down against the investment class NOW? You aint seen nothing yet.
- the gop knows they can't win with votes, so they'll try money, lies, fraud, anything to hide thier moral and intellectual bankrupcy.

- The problem we are having is civics. Us old folks had to learn civics and how to live in a democracy when we were in grade school. We don't have a to be smart to vote or run for elected office. There are age and geographic requirements for most elected office, but that is all that is required. You don't need an BA, MBA or PHD to be a member of our government. It was set up that way so the average man on the street could contribute if they wanted to. However, our way of governing has been hijacked by people in positions of wealth and authority. Limit congress to four terms, Senate three terms, high courts 20 years. Pay them well so they don't need to worry about loosing their home or go bankrupt by illness. Make TV, Radio and News adds free to any candidate and pay the media so they don't give elections the midnight shift. No secret funds, no PACs no swift boaters. Fox News and MSNBC and other outlets would be fined if they get caught interfering with elections the way they are today. I am not voting for anyone that can't or won't say where their money is coming from. This mess is disgusting and it starts with Palin and goes all the way to Washington. If you are a political paid celebrity, you need to disclose that you are being paid for your views and by whom.

- Well we all move on. move on. Org that is we have become a nation of Liberal liars and haters and of right wing religious nuts equally are intolerant and bigoted just against different things each side is equally as bad for America. But now for the moment we are in peril more from the left because we have a leftist GOV and a totally FASCIST congress. So until we can get Americans back to the middle and to a place of reason we are all just whistling in the wind nothing is going to change unless we splint the country and give the 43 % that are not Fiscal Conservative and social moderate their own space and let them ruin it all they want.
- Why do we allow public officials to spend their time on our nickle flying all over the country campaigning for others. Right now his name is MUD and I am not sure many politicians really want his support. I want a President that wants what the people want not what he thinks we need based on his personal socialist views. Mr. Obama has abused this office and should be removed. We need to keep lawyers out to political office to serve the people. We can not trust lawyers even when their lips are moving.
